USS Caron
I was stationed aboard the USS Caron DD 970 when the Lord saved me. She is also the ship I served aboard when I met my beloved wife, Kim, in Haifa, Israel, in 1985. As you can imagine, the Caron holds a special place in my heart, although, sadly, she was decommissioned on October 10, 2001 and was sunk off the coast of Puerto Rico during explosive testing in 2002 (right). I actually wept when I heard that.
